GET PASSIONATE NOW!
GET PASSIONATE NOW! Do it for you!
The time is now! I mean, now, right now! Life gets in the way of so much and
with the world being the way it is right now, the wrench that gets in our
gears gets bigger and bigger! We need to make a change in our lives, we need
to get motivated, and we need to get passionate about it! People of all ages,
especially the young and the retired, please read this, as I hope it will help
you!
What is it to be passionate, inspired, or motivated?
So, to start to be passionate, inspired, or motivated is to just try new
things, to like it, keep going with it, and to obsess a little 😝. For me,
this is what it means to step outside of the box and outside of your comfort
zone. You're breaking routine to better yourself.
What to get into? Anything you enjoy! This could be art, music, writing,
programming, the stock market, exercise, or even learning to do your own
taxes! Anything you can see that can improve your life, wellbeing, or just
to have fun! Your new endeavor to like something new or to be good at
something may be a turn off at first because as the older we get, it may
seem pointless or isn't lucrative. We may even view it in the long run as
being not useful. I'm here to tell you you're wrong!
Stop lying to yourself!

Your new passion seems useless? It's not. Just get started.
If you feel your new passion is useless and more of a hobby, you're
probably right. This is 100% normal at first. Not all who do great things
need to do "big" things. You don't need to get known, famous, or super
rich. Just take a step to feel accomplished. What I'm encouraging is that
you better yourself right now. If you are a young person, don't wait, the
sooner you take a step, the easier life gets. In the end, your passion can
become motivation, which can become useful in the end.

The more you do your new hobby or passion, the more people will begin to notice. Friends and family will begin to help you out and you may get the attention from employment. If you want to make your passion into a potential career or, at least somewhat lucrative, here are a few points I would start with, in order.
Keep in mind: Before proceeding, some services may require a
certification and may contain a level of risk. If you become certified
at your hobby or service and become confident, then by all means
proceed! 😃
1. Start a website: We now live in a digital world. With the
pandemic going on and world affairs, as they are, going out and handing
out business cards or word of mouth is just not ideal. Not to mention,
everything is digital now! Make a digital business card to sell your new
passion/hobby. Think of the benefits! It creates a lower carbon footprint
and it's 100% free to start.
The nice part about a website is that you can show off a portfolio,
contact info, about you, and so on! Also, a lot of web hosting platforms
are drag and drop. That means, no coding, no downloads, no installs, or
anything super complicated. I would suggest a good starting point would be
to visit WordPress or
Wix. If you have some html coding knowledge you can try your hand at Google
sites. For a small review on these check out my blog post
here!
2. Get on Social Media: Social media isn't for everyone
and I myself am not a huge fan. However, when it comes to marketing myself
and my work, I use social media as a tool! It is great to post samples of
what you can do and get some feedback. Have a business mind and don't take
the "troll" comments to heart!
3. Stream (optional): Facebook,
Twitch,
YouTube,
and possibly more have streaming options. If you're doing something
artistic, put on a performance! If you're doing something more analytical
like advice or "what you need to know about taxes", put on an educational
seminar! Get yourself out there and known! Streaming on one or all these
platforms has significantly helped my viewership on my digital sources and
personally inspired me to keep on trekking!
My experience.
I started late and totally regret it. With so much to choose from, it became
difficult to pick just one thing that would interest me to explore. Then as
I got older, obligations, relationships, and adulting created road bumps. I
really enjoy writing and this blog, although not the biggest, best, or most
lucrative, it provides some level of self accomplishment. It also satisfies
what I love most; to help people!
My advice? Don't wait. If you feel it's too late? It never is. Just take one
baby step every day. Don't allow anyone and yourself to limit your
capabilities to learn something new and to succeed with it.
