A Paranormal Experience #5 Triple Feature

Prologue

In life, there are just some things we cannot explain. We often chalk these situations up to be a figment of our imagination, the dark playing games with our eyes, or just the wind blowing through a drafty house. For some, these are very real experiences and known as supernatural or paranormal phenomena. The following is an experience I've personally encountered.

Please Read: The following is a story. It is a situation I've personally encountered. You may or may not take it as fact or believe it. You're allowed to be skeptical. This story is for entertainment purposes.

Now to the stories!

"I hear that!"

This is a very recent series of smaller paranormal encounters over the course of a few days. It all started on a comfortably cool September Saturday. It was a long day of activities with the children outside, it wasn't too hot or too cold, just a really nice start to the weekend.

As the night came closer, we moved inside to have dinner, then the usual hustle and bustle with wrangling the children over bed time. Finally, the mission was accomplished and I started to play some video games with the wife as part of our nightly routine.

Normally, I don't use the headphones unless I'm streaming so I hung them up on a wire hook beside my computer. There was a sound "Crack CLACK", I looked around. Nothing looked to have fallen, however, my headphones were rocking. "Crack clack", again the sound was made but this time I was still looking at the headphones when I saw it move on it's own. I looked around and noticed no wires or anything being caught by my chair or foot. "Crack crunk", the headphones unhinged and fell to the floor. There was no train, earthquake, wind, fan, or anything...just pop, jolted to the floor.

We decided this would be the longest gaming session, as we were not planning to sleep anytime soon.

"A 3:00am disturbance."

A few nights later, the wife and I woke up to a huge crash at 3:42am in the kitchen. We looked at each other and questioned, "did someone break in"? Naturally, I grabbed the closest thing to me as a weapon to prepare for the worse.

I crept my way out, into our dimly lit hallway. The light tickled the walls creating a warm orange hue. There was something there that shouldn't have been. The curtain and curtain rod was on the floor in the middle of the hall. It was a good 3ft away from the kitchen doorway and looked as if someone ran from the kitchen to the hall and ripped it from the wall.

I turned all the lights on, searched the apartment, the children were sound asleep, and not a soul, at least a physical one, was to be found. All the doors were locked, no windows open, no drafts. A rod that's been there for years, with children regularly running through it and tugging on it randomly decided to fly halfway down the hallway at almost 4:00am.

Let's just say, it was not curtains for us that morning, we had breakfast early.

"Phone Tag"

Things began to get quiet and we thought we were through the supernatural woods. So, we began our routines once again without a thought of anything strange happening again. I was working on my computer and I had run out of water and went for a little trek to the kitchen where my wife was doing some dishes and preparing lunch.

As to not allow the phone to get wet or dirty from her kitchen activities, my wife put her phone face down on the middle of a kitchen shelf. Nothing out of the ordinary really.

I showed my wife some love with a little hug and a little kiss on the cheek. Then I turned to open the refrigerator to accomplish what I originally planned to do, get some water.

"Clack", a sound caught my attention from where the shelf was. I turned to look at what the noise was and it was her phone, leaving the shelf, and flying straight at me. The phone for no apparent reason launched from the shelf about 6 feet away from it. "Clump", it hit the floor.

My wife and I were in awe. We looked at each other in amazement, at the phone on the floor, then back at each other. We didn't know what to say. I inspected the phone, luckily it wasn't damaged.

Needless to say, we grabbed the kids, had lunch early, in our patio to avoid the kitchen for a while.
